SPTLN

Physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, physical therapists, speech/language therapists, pharmacists along with medical students, pharmacy students, physical therapy students, occupational therapy students and undergraduates.

We are working with FNE International on their Salud Para Todo Los Ninos project based in Leon, Nicaragua. You can find information on SPTLN here!

Our team is planning a novel and ambitious approach to care delivery. Because SPTLN’s patient cohort is complex, we plan to visit patients in their homes. Visiting them in their homes will allow us to holistically approach their medical needs. For example, some of the children cannot walk and while we may be able to measure for wheelchairs, if there are steps/elevated landings, a wheelchair may not improve the child’s mobility at home.

Our team makeup is unique! Being so interdisciplinary will allow us to approach each child and family from our different perspectives. Not only will the children and their families benefit, we expect the students to learn from each other!

Ways to help!!

Donate! We are committed to providing comprehensive care to the children and families in the program. We anticipate that we will identify many needs and meeting those needs require money. Our in-country partners and SPTLN/FNE staff work with the families year-round and, with your help, will have the resources and funding to meet the needs we identify.
